A 22-year-old man was fatally shot in York County last night.
The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office is reporting Peter Girvan, whose last known address was in James City County, was shot and killed around 10 p.m. Monday in the street on the 1100 block of Wilkins Drive in the York Terrace neighborhood. The neighborhood is north of Route 199 and east of Merrimac Trail in the upper part of the county.
There are no suspects at this time.
“This is all we have to release right now. We will update when we have new information as the investigation continues,” YPSO wrote in a news release.
Deputies are asking anyone with information in this case to call the Crime Line at 888-LOCK-U-UP. Callers will remain anonymous and could be eligible to receive up to $1,000 for a tip that leads to an arrest.

The shooting is under investigation.
Monday’s fatal shooting is YPSO’s third homicide investigation in 2015.
