Click through to see the people, places and events that shaped our community over the past 12 months. A snowy February that closed schools for an inordinate number of days for the second consecutive year convinced school board members in both Williamsburg-James City County Schools and York County School Division to make permanent changes to elementary school bell schedules in an effort to avoid scrambling to make up for lost instructional time in the future.
