The James City Service Authority wants drivers to be aware a sewer repair on John Tyler Highway will disrupt traffic Thursday night.
The repair will involve work on two manholes that, due to some recent roadwork in the area, need to be raised to ground level, according to JCSA General Manager Doug Powell.
The repair will begin at 9 p.m. and take place in area along John Tyler Highway adjacent to Venture Lane.
While the repair is in progress the westbound and turning lane on John Tyler Highway will be closed and traffic will be detoured onto Venture Lane.
The service authority anticipates that if all goes according to plan the repairs should be complete and the traffic pattern returned to normal by 6 a.m. Friday.
