James City County’s economic development team has a new member.
The James City County Board of Supervisors appointed Christopher Odle to serve on the county’s Economic Development Authority.
Odle replaces Leanne Dubois, who did not seek reappointment to the board when her term expired June 30.
Odle currently serves as vice president of development at Armada Hoffler, a real estate company based in Virginia Beach. He received a bachelor’s degree in building construction from the University of Florida.
Odle was unavailable for comment Friday.
The supervisors also reappointed Robin Carson to the EDA. Carson currently serves as vice chairwoman of the EDA.
The terms for Carson and Odle would both expire Aug. 1, 2019.
The James City County EDA consists of seven members who are appointed at-large by the Board of Supervisors. Board directors serve four-year terms and are eligible for reappointment. The EDA’s role is to advance the county’s economic goals as stated in the comprehensive plan.
