Hear Milo Greene Live on The Tide, See Them at Free Concert

Milo Greene, an up-and-coming band from Los Angeles, will be in the 92.3FM The Tide studio today at noon, talking to afternoon host Amanda Pearl and playing a few songs live on the air.

The five band members describe their music as “cinematic pop,” from their original goal to create music that would be the score for film and TV. Critics have said Milo Greene channels the sounds of Fleetwood Mac, Of Monsters and Men and Lord Huron. The band has appeared on many late-night TV shows, including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and Late Night with David Letterman.

If you like what you hear at noon – or if somehow work gets in the way and you miss the broadcast (you can always stream The Tide by clicking here) – Milo Greene will perform a free show this afternoon at 5 at Williamsburg’s Brickhouse Tavern, courtesy of The Save 30 Store, Hometown Radio and

Brickhouse, at 755 Scotland St., will have food and drink specials, and we’ll be giving away raffle prizes from The Save 30 Store. There’s no need to buy a ticket or RSVP; just show up and enjoy.

The show will be a tuneup for the Tribe men’s basketball game as they take on University of North Carolina-Wilmington at 7 p.m. at Kaplan Arena. That game is free for any fan who brings in three canned goods.

The game will be broadcast live on Hometown Radio, 92.3FM The Tide and 107.9 BACHfm, starting with the pre-game coach’s show at 6:30, followed by tipoff at 7 p.m.
