James City County Police are asking the public for help in identifying a suspect who robbed the Shell Station at 1301 Jamestown Rd. at 5:42 p.m. Oct. 27.
The suspect, a light-skinned black or Hispanic male who is approximately 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, was wearing a long sleeve black shirt, tan pants that possibly had knee pads under them and black and white tennis shoes. He wore pantyhose over his face and was armed with a handgun, according to a press release from James City County Police. The clerk was not hurt in the robbery.
According to the press release, the suspect fled the store after stealing an undisclosed amount of money. He ran behind the Colony Square Shopping Center where he was picked up by a black sedan that is believed to have been occupied by two black females.
