Coming Soon: Two New Full-Service Dunkin’ Donuts Locations

It’s been said that America runs on Dunkin’ Donuts, and with two new full-service stores set to open by mid-December—one each in York and James City counties—local residents will get to find out why.

Gregg Nigro, president of Restaurant Services of the Outer Banks, which owns the two new stores in addition to some others on the peninsula, said the York County location will be at the corner of Denbigh Boulevard and Route 17. The store will be in the building that used to be The Revolt and before that was Tuscany’s Coffeehouse. The James City County store is being built inside of the Miller Mart on Richmond Road near the Route 199 intersection. Both of these locations will feature drive-thrus.

Nigro said the new stores should bring 25-30 jobs to the area. His company also owns the Williamsburg store on Richmond Road.

“We’re a morning business,” Nigro said. “We want to make it as convenient and easy for people as possible. We look for a drive-thru and make sure the building is on the right side of the road for people who are on their way to work.”

Nigro said his company might not be finished installing stores in the area.

“There are some more areas we are considering, though nothing is confirmed,” Nigro said. “We are looking at a couple of additional sites in Williamsburg and James City County.”
