Police: Trio Tricks, Robs York Pizza Delivery Driver

Three men who allegedly set up a pizza delivery driver to be robbed in a York County neighborhood have been arrested and charged in the incident.

According to York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office spokesman Lt. Dennis Ivey, Jr., the suspects on Thursday night ordered two pizzas to be delivered to a residence in the 300 block of Harris Grove Drive. The suspects didn’t live at the address, and Ivey called their selection of it “random.”

When the pizza delivery driver arrived around 10:45 p.m. and exited his vehicle, three suspects assaulted him and robbed him of the pizzas and other items police would not disclose.

Investigators say their work led to three suspects: Sven Christian Anderson, a 19-year-old who was last known to live in the 1500 block of Lakeside Drive in the Dare area of York County; 26-year-old Bryant Cotton, who is homeless; and 20-year-old Joshua McNeal, who was last known to live in the 9300 block of Whispering Pines Trail in Windsor.

All three men were arrested and are being held at the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail.

Anderson was charged with robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, assault and battery and petit larceny. Cotton and McNeal each face charges of robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-UP.
