WILLIAMSBURG — On April 12 and 14 from 2-5 p.m., the Grove Christian Outreach Center will once again offer in-need students at Jamestown High School the chance to pick out clothes for prom.

The Outreach Center has been gathering a variety of formal wear for students to choose from thanks to generous donations from members of the community, including items such as bags, shoes, and jewelry.

“It’s my first year doing this, but I’m going to set it up as if these students were going into a boutique,” Lisa Falzone, Community Engagement Coordinator for the Outreach Center explained. “I really want to jazz up the back room to make them feel special.”

The Outreach Center will also be offering alterations to students free of charge.

Interested students can make appointments in half-hour blocks by calling Falzone at 757-887-1100 or emailing Lisa@groveoutreach.com

Anyone who would like to drop off formal wear or other items to the Outreach Center can do so any time that the center is open.

The Outreach Center also plans on reaching out for donations to be used for prom tickets for students in need to help all teens enjoy prom season to the fullest.
