WILLIAMSBURG — AuthorCon returns for its third run at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Williamsburg April 12-14.
The event is being hosted by author Brian Keene and is part of the “Scares that Care!” charity, a 501(c)(3) founded in 2006. To date, “Scares That Care!” raised and donated more than $300,000 to organizations and families with a child affected by illness, burns or women fighting breast cancer, with each family receiving $10,000 from events and direct donations, according to the organization.
Guests billed to appear at the event include authors Paul Tremblay, Sherrilyn Kenyon and Grady Hendrix. Extra ticketed events include “An Evening With Psychic and Medium Dakota Lawrence,” “Ask An Agent!” and a “celebrity” murder mystery featuring “Frank Sinatra” and a famous detective, tickets for which may be purchased separately without attending AuthorCon.
Tickets for the weekend are $30, with additional charges for special events. A second AuthorCon is slated for October. For more information, visit the official AuthorCon website.
