WILLIAMSBURG — Chesapeake Bay Writers (CBW) has scheduled a free workshop on June 7 presented by author Patti Gaustad Procopi at the Midtown Row Club House.
According to CBW, Procopi is a firm believer that everyone’s life has a story in it, and she will be offering ideas of how to tell that story to the next generation, including writing a memoir, a fictionalized version of an author’s life story, or a Q&A book to will give children a better picture of life before them.
It is all part of CBW’s mission to support writers, it said.
Procopi is the author of the novels “Please… Tell Me More” and “I’ll Get By.” She lived all over the world before settling in Gloucester with her husband, Greg. After retiring from work at two area history museums, Procopi finally had time to write about emotional connections, friendship and family.
The free presentation, titled “Writing Your Story,” begins at 11 a.m. on June 7 and will take place in the theater on the lower level of the clubhouse. Required preregistrations can be made at chesapeakebaywriters.org.
After the program, there will be time for socializing and networking. An optional box lunch is available, and should be ordered and paid for in advance, also through the website.
