WILLIAMSBURG — New Town announced on May 23 it will be extending New Town Tunes with four more Wednesday night concerts in partnership with James City County Parks & Recreation and CultureFix.
“Culturefix was very excited to be asked to work on the extended New Town Tunes series,” commented Steve Rose, President of CultureFix. “With the Summer Breeze series being reimagined we’ve heard from many of our supporters how much they’ll miss many of their hometown favorites.”
“The concerts have been enthusiastically supported by our residents, visitors, and the businesses in New Town, so Newtown Commercial Association and James City County have agreed to support the expansion of the concert series this season,” said John Carnifax, Director of James City County Department of Parks & Recreation.
The updated music schedule kicks off with Good Shot Judy on May 31.
Performances continue on the following dates:
- June 7 — Slapnation
- June 14 — The Deloreans
- June 21 — Brasswind
As with the previous concerts, all of the new dates will be free evening outdoor concerts, open to the public, according to New Town. Food will also be available for purchase around the New Town area at various restaurants, food trucks, and breweries.
Attendants are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or a blanket to enjoy the outdoor performances, and dogs are also welcome to attend.
All of the performances will be held at Sullivan Square, behind Legacy Hall in New Town at 5 p.m.
