WILLIAMSBURG — Professor A.E Dick Howard, one of the chief architects of 1972
Virginia Constitution, will be the dinner speaker at The League of Women Voters of Virginia’s Annual Meeting on June 3.
Professor Howard was the Executive Director of the Virginia Commission on Constitutional Revision. Counsel to the General Assembly during its constitutional revision session. He also directed the successful referendum campaign for public approval of the Constitution.
Professor Howard is a recipient of the Thomas Jefferson Award from the University of Virginia (the highest honor conferred upon members of the faculty). He has also been named by the Library of Virginia and the Richmond Times-Dispatch as one of the
“greatest Virginians of the Twentieth Century.”
The dinner will take place at the William and Mary Sadler Center. 200 Stadium Drive, on June 3 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $55 and can be reserved on the Eventbrite webpage.
