WILLIAMSBURG — Local nonprofit CultureFix is hosting “Blues And The Bayou,” a free “doubleheader under the big top” featuring Bobby Blackhat and Blackcat Zydeco at the Williamsburg Community Building on April 22 at 5 p.m.
According to his website, Bobby BlackHat, known as Virginia’s Blues Ambassador, is an award-winning recording artist, harmonica player, vocalist, songwriter, comedian, and producer who has been playing harmonica for over 46 years.
Blackcat Zydeco has a unique style that infuses zydeco, blues, country, and R&B
influences. He has been recognized as one of the most exciting Zydeco accordionists of the modern era.
Local food trucks will be at the event, and beer and wine will be available for purchase. Lawn chairs and “friendly leashed pets” are permitted, but no outside coolers, alcohol, or food. The event will take place rain or shine.
