WILLIAMSBURG — The Corner Pocket in New Town hosted a new monthly women’s networking meetup Thursday, sponsored by State Farm agent Courtney Owens and 92.3FM The Tide, with 30 in attendance for the inaugural event.
“Cocktails with CLO – Networking and cocktails for working women!” aims to provide an opportunity for women to “make new connections, build stronger female working relationships and unwind after a long day,” according to the event’s Facebook page.
Appetizers and the first drink are provided. Thursday’s event featured a game of “Get to Know You” Bingo, with the first two participants who received a bingo winning a prize. A gift basket drawing was also held.
“Cocktails with CLO” plans to meet around the first of every month from 4:30-6 p.m. at The Corner Pocket. Attendees are encouraged to bring business cards for a chance to win prizes.
