WILLIAMSBURG — The Williamsburg Contemporary Art Center is now accepting registrations for its 2023 spring session of Buddy Art.
Buddy Art is a free program of art activities for kids ages six and older with special needs and/or physical disabilities.
“We are now ramping up for the next session of Buddy Art, which begins next month,” said Karen Schwartz, Buddy Art Coordinator. “We were able to resume it last fall after canceling it for two years during the pandemic, and parents and kids were so happy to have it available again. The Williamsburg Contemporary Art Center has been running this program for many years as a community service, but could not do it without the help and support of William & Mary students who volunteer to work with the kids, and the James City County Recreation Center, which hosts it in their facility.”
Classes are scheduled for Saturdays, Feb. 4, 11, 18, 25 and March 4 from 3-4 p.m. They will be held in rooms A and B at the JCC Recreation Center, 5301 Longhill Road in Williamsburg. There is no deadline to register, families can register at the first class and can join at any point during the session.
