WILLIAMSBURG — Williamsburg Parks and Recreation is bringing its popular Canine Carnival to Quarterpath Park on Oct. 16, the first year the event will be returning since the COVID-19 pandemic.

Once held at Waller Mill Park, this year’s event at Quarterpath Park will be the fifth annual Canine Carnival, full of vendors and others offering pet-related services such as grooming and nail trimming. All vendors are local to the community.

There will also be a pet costume contest, Weiner dog racing, people to talk to about adoption and other fun activities.

“Bring your dog out and have a good time,” Patricia McGrath, Interim Deputy Director at Williamsburg Parks and Recreation and organizer for the event, said. “See if there are things that you might need or services you might need.”

The event on Oct. 16 will be held from 1-4 p.m. There will also be $5 special event parking for the event. For any questions, reach out to parksandrec@williamsburgva.gov or call 757-259-3760.
