YORKTOWN — Yorktown released the lineup for the 18th annual Rhythms on the Riverwalk concert series, which will return on Sept. 8.

The concerts are free to attend and will take place from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday nights until mid-October.

The Lineup:

Sept. 8, The Micheal Clark Band: Known for its various musical styles and powerful, tight vocals, The Micheal Clark Band will kick off the series. Whether honoring the original rendition of a beloved song or performing an original tune, the band is sure to present its music in the signature funky style.

Sept. 15, Runnin’ Shine: A country music group with powerful energy and a unique sound, the group has been dubbed “Rage Country.”

Sept. 22, Blue Tips Rhythm Revue: After playing at a friend’s wedding, this group fell into a groove and, despite their age, is filled with old-school soul.

Sept. 29, The Jason Cale Band: A blend of New Orleans funk, blues rock, jazz fusion, and R&B elements creates the musical gumbo that is the Jason Cale Band. The band is reminiscent of the late 60s/early 70s musical artists.

Oct. 6, The Whiskey Rebellion: This band draws from its diverse background to bring a mix of bluegrass, jazz, and rock & roll to the stage. The group covers a wide variety of artists through its acoustic abilities and 3-part harmonies.

York County encourages guests to bring blankets and lawn chairs. Coolers are permitted, and many of Historic Yorktown’s restaurants will remain open before and after concerts. Water Street Grille will also have grab-and-go options available in the concert area for those in attendance.

The county notes free parking is available at the Riverwalk Landing parking terrace, York Hall, York County Courthouse, York County Administration Building, and other public parking lots throughout town. The Yorktown Trolley will run until 9 p.m. during every concert with a modified route that will still include some stops on the outskirts of town.
