WILLIAMSBURG — Colonial Williamsburg’s Summer Breeze outdoor concert series will return to the lawn of the Art Museums this summer in a reimagined format.
The series will feature an eclectic lineup of Americana, blues, country and brass bands curated in association with the Virginia Arts Festival. Additionally, boutique music ensembles and soloists will perform on select evenings throughout the summer in Merchants Square, designed to enhance the community’s shopping and dining experience.
The Summer Breeze concert series began in 1992, taking place in Merchants Square, and has been supported financially by Colonial Williamsburg’s Merchants Square and the City of Williamsburg. The goal of the new format is to provide the community with a unique musical experience and an opportunity to hear acts that don’t typically perform in Williamsburg, they said.
Merchants Square and the City of Williamsburg said they look forward to continuing to provide this series to the community in the reimagined format.
The Summer Breeze concert series will launch on July 3, Community Appreciation Day, from 7:30 – 8:45 p.m. on the lawn of the Art Museums of Colonial Williamsburg. The concerts are still free and open to the public. Concertgoers are encouraged to bring their own chairs and picnic blankets.
