WILLIAMSBURG — The Williamsburg Contemporary Art Center (WCAC) is looking for artists for its next show, the Artisan Extravaganza, happening from April 5 through May 19.
There is no fee to enter and it is open to all 3D artisans, not just members of WCAC.
All works must be original, family-friendly, and conceived and executed solely by the artisan. Works may be functional or strictly decorative, including pottery, jewelry, glass, wood, metal, sculpture, clothing, other textiles, decorative painting, household items, garden items and furniture.
Artists may exhibit up to twelve pieces (or sets) as space allows. Artists who are accepted will need to fill out an inventory form for their selected pieces, including replacement pieces for art sold.
WCAC requests that artists price submitted pieces at current market value. WCAC will retain a 40% commission on all sales with 60% paid to artisans and settlement will happen within two weeks of the show’s closure.
Interested parties should email WCAC at visitwcac@gmail.com as soon as possible to confirm entry. Forms should be submitted no later than Mar. 31 and work should be dropped off at WCAC on April 1 from 10 a.m. to noon.
