WILLIAMSBURG — The City of Williamsburg announced its online payment system for utility and tax bills will be down for scheduled maintenance on Monday, Sept. 25 and Tuesday, Sept. 26.
The city said payments can be made in-person or via the 24-hour payment dropbox at the Municipal Building. The system maintenance will also affect internal systems, the city said, so payments made in person on Sept. 25 and 26 will not be posted until Wednesday, Sept. 27.
The city anticipates residents will be able to resume use of the online payment system by Tuesday evening.
The city noted the system maintenance also affects the Commissioner of the Revenue Office’s ability to process business license applications and renewals, as well as the Codes Compliance Division’s ability to process building permits and other applications.
Processing of those applications and permits will resume Wednesday, Sept. 27.
