YPSO Seeking Assistance Regarding December Larcenies

YORK COUNTY — The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office (YPSO) is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying suspects in multiple larcenies committed in December.

On Dec. 18, the suspects were leaving the Walmart located at 2601 George Washington Memorial Hwy. (Rte. 17) in Yorktown. Suspect 1 noticed that the store’s Loss Prevention team was following him to his vehicle, described as a black Lexus sedan, and then promptly removed the rear tag from it. When this suspect was confronted by Loss Prevention, he implied to that he had a weapon. Suspect 1 entered his vehicle at that time and left with merchandise from the store.

Meanwhile, Suspect 2 exited another set of doors with merchandise. YPSO states that when he observed what was occurring with Suspect 1, he fled the scene on foot, leaving the merchandise behind.

YPSO notes that this case is being investigated as a robbery.
