POQUOSON — A possible threat reported by Poquoson City Public Schools (PCPS) was deemed ‘not credible’ by local law enforcement.

Just before noon on Friday, Dec. 10, PCPS notified the Poquoson Police Department (PPD) regarding information it received regarding a possible threat.

PPD immediately took action to investigate the threat but this resulted in the department deeming it ‘not credible.’

However, due to the nature of said threats, two PCPS students have since been charged with threats to burn, conspiracy to commit a felony, and communicating a threat over public airways.

However, due to the age of the student involved, no further information will be released.

PPD states that it continues to work with PCPS to ensure the safety of all students and staff.
