York High School Student Reported Missing

YORKTOWN — A York High School student has been reported missing.

According to Shelley Ward, public information officer for the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office (YPSO), 16-year-old Laila Farrelly, a student at York High, went missing on Dec. 8, 2021 at approximately 2:10 p.m., after attending classes.

She was last seen by runners walking by herself on National Park Service property behind the high school, located at 9300 George Washington Memorial Highway (Route 17).

Laila is described as being 5 feet 4 inches and weighing 130 lbs. She has brown eyes and black hair, which is tinted maroon/purple. She was last seen wearing black pants with white smiley faces, a black shirt, and white and black shoes.
