Gloucester Sheriff’s Deputies Arrest Juvenile for Making Threats Against High School

Gloucester Sheriff’s Deputies arrested a juvenile for making threats of death or bodily Injury in writing toward Gloucester High School. (WYDaily media)

GLOUCESTER — Deputies from the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office (GCSO) took a juvenile into custody on Thursday, Nov. 4, after officials at Gloucester High School we made aware of social media posts that made threats towards the school. One post depicted the armed juvenile wearing a ballistic vest while making threats, according to a post on the GCSO facebook page.

Uniformed deputies detained the juvenile at his residence. During an investigation of the residence the GCSO Criminal Investigations Division found two loaded handguns that had recently been reported stolen. They also discovered that the suspect had assaulted two family member during a separate incident.

The male juvenile was arrested and charged with Felony Threats of Death and Bodily Injury in Writing against Gloucester High School, Felony Larceny of Firearms, and two counts of Assault and Battery of a Family Member.

The juvenile is not currently enrolled at the GHS. After his arrest he was taken to a juvenile detention center.
