FORT EUSTIS — Dominion Energy has issued an alert regarding possible traffic delays this weekend near Fort Eustis due to the company rebuilding a high-voltage transmission line.
The work is scheduled to take place this Saturday and Sunday (Sept. 18-19) between 7 to 11 a.m. This may cause stoppages in the east and westbound lanes along Interstate 64 (I-64) around Exit 250 towards Fort Eustis.
Interruptions are scheduled to take place in fifteen minute intervals with fifteen minutes between each work period.
Motorists are encouraged to plan if traveling along I-64 near Fort Eustis during the rebuild.
A Sept. 16 release from Dominion Energy stats, “Dominion Energy is rebuilding important infrastructure to plan for future reliability. That involves a transmission line across across all travel lanes.”
The work that is being completed is in coordination with the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).
