HISTORIC TRIANGLE — Colleges and Universities are releasing their Fall 2022 academic recognition lists, and several area students are making the grade.
Shenandoah University
Shenandoah University announced 1,087 students made the Fall 2022 Dean’s List, and 477 students made the President’s List for the Fall 2022 semester.
To qualify for the Dean’s List, students enrolled in baccalaureate degree programs must complete at least 12 semester hours and earn a semester GPA of 3.5 or higher. Students with a GPA of 3.90 or higher also qualify for Shenandoah’s President’s List.
The following area students earned Dean’s List honors:

- Stephen Graham of Yorktown
- Allen Outten of Williamsburg
- Jesse Eagle of Seaford
- Caleb Richardson of Williamsburg
- Isaac Nieman of Yorktown
- Marcus Washington of Toano

- Peter Overton of Toano
The following area students earned President’s List honors:

Bridgewater College
Nearly 550 students were named to the Fall 2022 Dean’s List, at Bridgewater College, a private, four-year liberal arts college located in the Central Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.
Students on the Dean’s List have attained a 3.4 or better grade point average out of a possible 4.0.
The following area students earned Dean’s List honors:
- Kelli Mullen of Williamsburg, health and exercise science major
- Melia Teixeira of Yorktown, biology major
Valdosta State University
Georgia’s Valdosta State University (VSU) announced its Fall 2022 Dean’s List.
To qualify for Dean’s List at VSU, students must achieve a semester grade point average of 3.50 or higher on nine or more semester hours with an institutional grade point average of 3.00 or higher.
The following area student earned Dean’s List honors:
