Williamsburg Christmas Market Seeing Record-Breaking Success at New Location

The Annual Christmas Market (Provided by CultureFix)

WILLIAMSBURG — Despite a change in location for 2022, local nonprofit CultureFix said it is seeing a record number of attendees for its Third Annual Christmas Market in Downtown Williamsburg.

CultureFix reports 30,453 people have attended the Christmas Market during its first three weekends, including a record-breaking 5,872 visitors on Nov. 26, the Saturday after Thanksgiving, and 5,781 attendees on Dec. 10.

CultureFix said it is excited about the new location and positive reception and hopes to expand the market into Bicentennial Park in future years. Next year, it hopes to add a kid’s Christmas train to the European-style Christmas market.

According to a press release, vendors have switched out each weekend, with a total of 60 different small businesses participating. The market also includes live entertainment, hot gluhwein, local market food and photo opportunities throughout the park. Santa is also in his Grotto every day of the market.

The Christmas Market is located along Court Street, behind the Art Museums of Colonial Williamsburg and adjacent to Bicentennial Park. The market is open seven more days — Thursday, Dec. 15 through Wednesday, Dec. 21.

More information about the market, including the market hours, can be found by visiting the CultureFix website.
