JCC Marina Store, Billsburg Tasting Room to be Impacted by Building Improvements

(James City County)

JAMES CITY COUNTY — The building that houses the James City County Marina Store and Billsburg Brewery’s Tasting Room will undergo structural improvements beginning Dec. 14 through February, the county said.

Work will include installing a new support system for the second floor inside the Marina store, with both the store and the Tasting Room closed while the work is being completed. Hampton Marine Services, located in the connecting aluminum building, will not be impacted, the county said.

Billsburg noted while the Tasting Room would be closed from Jan. 2-23, the business would still be open and serving in the heated pavilion and heated deck during that period.

The paddle craft launch area and boat ramp will remain open, and boat ramp users can deposit their boat ramp fees into the self-pay honor box located at the top of the boat ramp. There is no cost to use the paddle craft launch area. Bike and paddle craft rentals will be suspended until the Marina Store reopens. The county said bikers and paddlers may rent equipment at Chickahominy Riverfront Park.

All calls to the Marina Store will automatically transfer to the Guests Service Office at Chickahominy Riverfront Park. Callers can also dial the Guest Services Office directly at 757-258-5020.

Marina boat storage payments may continue to be mailed to the James City County Marina, 2054 Jamestown Road, Williamsburg, VA 23185, and credit cards payments may be taken over the telephone at 757-258-5020. A 2.95% convenience fee will apply. Cash payments must be made in person 8 a.m to 5 p.m. daily at Chickahominy Riverfront Park.
