STATEWIDE — Kings Dominion’s annual WinterFest celebration is offering visitors a chance to see its Eiffel Tower, “transformed into a 300-foot-tall Christmas tree,” the park said.
The Richmond-area amusement park opened its WinterFest celebration on Nov. 25 and holiday celebrations take place on select nights throughout December until Jan. 1, it said.
Kings Dominion said that over 100 Christmas trees and millions of Christmas lights are showcased throughout the park, along with live entertainment, including the WinterFest Wonderland Parade.
According to an official announcement, each night of the event, the WinterFest Wonderland Parade “will provide a larger-than-life experience brimming with dazzling displays, exciting performances, and extravagantly decorated holiday floats with classic themes such as gingerbread houses, beautifully wrapped gift boxes, and toy trains.” It added more than 100 singers and dancers — and possibly Santa Claus himself — will join the procession to perform on the parade route.
The park is inviting families to experience exclusive holiday attractions, including its Snow Flake Lake Ice Skating, Charlie Brown’s Christmas Tree Lot, and a festive horse-drawn carriage ride. More than 20 rides are open during WinterFest, Kings Dominion said.
