WILLIAMSBURG — The Williamsburg ALDI, located at 1504 Richmond Road, announced that it will be reopening on Nov. 17 at 8 a.m., with a ribbon-cutting ceremony slated for 7:55 a.m.

The Williamsburg store was closed so the location could undergo renovations, part of an ongoing initiative to remodel and expand existing ALDI stores, ALDI representatives stated.

“We have invested in remodeling our stores to ensure they are designed to make grocery shopping smarter, faster and easier,” said Jeff Bianchetta, Petersburg regional vice president for ALDI, in an official announcement. “With the updated Williamsburg store, shoppers will notice a new look with more fresh and convenient items at the reliably low prices ALDI fans race about.”

According to the official announcement from ALDI, the updated store provides an improved layout with ample refrigeration to accommodate an expanded fresh and convenient food selection. It also features open ceilings and natural lighting, and built with environmentally friendly materials.

ALDI stated that the first 100 customers will receive a gift card as part of the ALDI Golden Ticket gift card giveaway program, and shoppers can also enter to win a $500 ALDI gift card.

ALDI said it is on track to open 150 new stores and become the third-largest U.S. grocery retailer by store count by the end of the year. The Williamsburg store will be open daily from 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
