Leigh Houghland, senior vice president, regional executive/senior lending officer for Chesapeake Bank, spoke with Tide Radio’s Andy Harris about the Shop Local Boost Pop Ups that will be taking place across Greater Williamsburg. Residents can attend these events and purchase a $50 Chesapeake Bank VISA gift card while only paying $25. Houghland explained how the events can give local consumers extra money ahead of the holiday season while also providing a boost to local businesses. Here are the dates for the upcoming Shop Local Boost Pop Ups:
• Nov. 12 at 10 a.m. – James York Plaza
• Nov. 16 at Noon – Freight Shed at Riverwalk Landing in Yorktown
• Nov. 30 at Noon – New Town near the fountain
• Dec. 7 – 4 p.m. – Revolution Golf & Grille
• Dec. 14 at 4 p.m. – Virginia Beer Company
