WILLIAMSBURG — Due to potentially poor weather conditions, Colonial Williamsburg has decided to cancel its Veterans Day commemorations scheduled for Friday, Nov. 11.

“After careful consideration, Colonial Williamsburg has made the difficult decision to cancel our Veterans Day commemorations tomorrow, Friday, Nov. 11 due to the weather forecast,” Colonial Williamsburg said in an email late Thursday afternoon.

According to Colonial Williamsburg, this includes:

  • The 10 a.m. Proclamation Ceremony on Palace Green
  • The 3:30 p.m. Military March from Capitol Circle to Market Square
  • The 7 p.m. “In Defense of Our Liberty” evening program at the Magazine

Colonial Williamsburg said it is still offering free admission during Veterans Day weekend, Friday through Sunday, Nov. 11-13, to all active-duty military, reservists, retirees, veterans, National Guardsmen and immediate dependents. For more information, visit colonialwilliamsburg.org.
