WILLIAMSBURG — Flags will be placed at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery to honor veterans on Veterans Day, Friday, Nov. 11, at 9:30 a.m.
The Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, located at 101 E Rochambeau Drive in Williamsburg, is a rural, historically African-American church established after the Civil War. Veterans from the Civil War, World War I, World War II, and Vietnam War rest in the cemetery.
Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc., Omicron Xi Zeta Chapter will place flags on the graves of veterans in the cemetery, and several organizations have been invited to attend. Williamsburg residents are encouraged to attend and honor the lives of local veterans.
