Football Ranked No. 8 in Both National Polls

WILLIAMSBURG — After extending its winning streak to five games with a victory at Hampton on Saturday, the William & Mary football team earned a No. 8 national ranking in both national polls.

W&M remained at No. 8 in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 Poll, while it jumped up one spot to eighth in the AFCA FCS Coaches’ Top 25 Poll. It marks the Tribe’s highest national ranking since 2015.

The Tribe owns an 8-1 record and is off to its best start since 2009. Additionally, W&M is currently tied for first in the Colonial Athletic Association with a 5-1 record.

W&M will return to action when it hosts Villanova for Senior Day at Zable Stadium on Saturday at 1 p.m. Tickets are available at TribeAthletics.com.
