KILMARNOCK — Chesapeake Bank will host several “Shop Local Boost Pop Ups!” to support local businesses in the greater Williamsburg area this holiday season.

At each event, $50 Chesapeake Bank Visa Gift Cards can be purchased for $25, doubling the dollars that can be spent to support local businesses participating in its The Buck Stays Here program, the bank announced in a press release. There is a limit of two gift cards per household.
Dates, times and locations for the Shop Local Boost Pop Ups! in Williamsburg and Yorktown are:
- Nov. 12, 10 a.m., James York Plaza/Shorty’s, Williamsburg
- Nov. 16, noon, Freight Shed at Riverwalk Landing, Yorktown
- Nov. 30, noon, New Town near the Brass Tap, Williamsburg
- Dec. 7, 4 p.m., High Street Revolution Golf, Williamsburg
- Dec. 14, 4 p.m., Virginia Beer, Williamsburg
All businesses that participate in the program can be found on The Buck Stays Here’s website, and The Buck Stays Here decals at businesses will let shoppers know that the it is locally owned and operated.

Chesapeake Bank also partners with local businesses in the Northern Neck, Middle Peninsula and Chesterfield County/Richmond for the program.
