Pair of Halloween Events Slated for James City County in October

JAMES CITY COUNTY — With the hurricane remnants finally passing through the region and fall weather starting to take root, James City County has two Halloween-themed events scheduled for the month of October.

Halloween with Heroes is slated for Oct. 26 from 6-8 p.m. at the Law Enforcement Center (4600 Opportunity Way, Williamsburg). The James City County Police Department (JCCPD) is inviting children across the county to come out and enjoy a trick-or-treat event while visiting with local first responders.

The Halloween with Heroes is in its third year.

Costumes are encouraged and public safety equipment will be on display.

Boo Bash at the Beach

The annual Boo Bash at the Beach is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 15, from 1-4 p.m. at Jamestown Beach Event Park.

Boo Bash is another family-friendly Halloween event open to children of all ages featuring hands-on activities, music, games, and food for guests to enjoy.

There will be Trick-or-Treating onsite for ages 12 and under where costumes are welcome.

Other activities include a pumpkin patch on the beach where guests can choose a pumpkin (on a first-come, first-serve basis) to carve and decorate.

Admission is free for the annual Boo Bash at the Beach. Parking is $5 per car (cash or check only) and pumpkin decorating is $5 per pumpkin.
