RICHMOND — After helping lift the William & Mary football team to a conference road victory at Stony Brook, sophomore placekicker Ethan Chang was selected as the Colonial Athletic Association Special Teams Player of the Week.
Highlighting Chang’s performance was a school-record 57-yard field goal that tied the conference record and matched the longest in the FCS this season. The Falls Church, Va., native also connected on a 34-yard field goal and made all three of his extra point attempts.
One of the nation’s top placekickers this season, Chang has made 8-of-10 field goal attempts and ranks tied for eighth in the country with 1.6 made field goals per game.
Off to a 4-1 start for the second consecutive season, W&M will look to improve to 5-1 for the first time since 2010 when it hosts No. 6 Delaware for Homecoming at Zable Stadium on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. Tickets are available at TribeAthletics.com.
