WILLIAMSBURG — After closing out its non-conference slate with a lopsided 34-7 victory at Lafayette, the William & Mary football team climbed higher in both national polls.
W&M moved to No. 14 in both the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 Poll and the AFCA FCS Coaches’ Top 25 Poll. It marks the Tribe’s highest national ranking since 2016.
W&M has been dominant in all three of its wins this season, outscoring the opposition by an average of 20.0 points per game. Additionally, the Tribe ranks among the nation’s top 10 in rushing offense (third, 287.7), sacks (sixth, 4.67) and total offense (ninth, 478.0).
Off to its best start since 2009, W&M will look to improve to 4-0 when it opens its conference slate against Elon at Zable Stadium on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. Tickets are available at TribeAthletics.com.
