W&M Football Rises to No. 15/17 in National Polls

WILLIAMSBURG — After earning a convincing 37-21 victory against Campbell in its home opener, the William & Mary football team jumped five spots in both national polls.

W&M moved to No. 15 in the Stats Perform FCS Top 25 Poll and No. 17 in the AFCA FCS Coaches’ Top 25 Poll. It marks the Tribe’s highest national ranking since 2016.

W&M has been dominant in both its wins this season, outscoring the opposition by an average of 16.5 points per game. Additionally, the Tribe ranks 15th nationally in scoring (39.0).

Off to its best start since 2009, W&M will look to improve to 3-0 when it concludes its non-conference slate at Lafayette on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. The Tribe’s next home game, which will be part of Family Weekend, is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 24 at 3:30.
