JCCPD Responds to Shots Fired at 7-Eleven Parking Lot

UPDATE (08/26/2022, 4:06 p.m.):  JCCPD announced that the investigation succesfully identified the offenders as John Futrell, a 22-year-old from Hampton, VA, and Jacari McNair an 18-year-old who’s also from Hampton, VA. According to JCCPD, “Police have obtained warrants for both males for Attempted Malicious Wounding, Firing into an Occupied Dwelling or Building, Reckless Handling of A Firearm and Carrying a Concealed Weapon.”

WILLIAMSBURG — The James City County Police Department (JCCPD) responded to emergency calls regarding multiple gunshots at the 7-Eleven located at 4840 Longhill Road Wednesday afternoon.

According to JCCPD, at approximately 12:48 p.m., James City County Emergency Communications received calls regarding shots fired in the parking lot of the 7-Eleven. By the time officers arrived, all involved had left the scene.

Multiple witnesses told police of an altercation in the parking lot with shots fired before both parties fled.

JCCPD said that shell casings were discovered in the area. No injuries were reported and property damage was minimal.
