WILLIAMSBURG — Riverside Doctors’ Hospital Williamsburg (RDHW) held a groundbreaking ceremony on Aug. 2 to commemorate the construction of its future on-campus medical office building (MOB).
The new 67,725-square-foot building is scheduled to open in 2024. The facility will provide patients with over 30 medical and surgical specialists supported by over 125 ancillary and support team members.
“We recognize that in order for health care to be the highest quality, it needs to be convenient and flexible in its ability to support the unique needs of the Williamsburg community,” said President of RDHW Adria Vanhoozier. “With our specialty care offices joining the Riverside Doctors’ Hospital campus, Williamsburg will continue to receive the high-quality care it deserves. We look forward to strengthening the connection between everyday health care and additional resources, expertise and support needed for the most successful health care journey and outcomes.”
The new building will feature:
- Orthopedics
- Outpatient Rehabilitation
- Physical Therapy
- Internal Medicine
- Laboratory
- Pulmonology
- Endocrinology
- Women’s Health
- Surgical Services
“The comfort and convenience we’ve built into the Doctors’ Hospital has been a notable achievement in our team’s efforts to provide health care as unique as the region. Today, we reiterate our commitment to the highest level of excellence with the creation of our new medical office building,” said President and COO of Riverside Health System Mike Dacey. “The addition of outpatient specialty care to the Doctors’ Hospital campus will strengthen access to top-of-the-line, full-service health care for all of the community’s needs.”
Aside from the Doctors’ Hospital, Riverside Medical Group provides medical care and services at four hospitals including:
- Riverside Regional Medical Center (Newport News)
- Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital (Onancock)
- Riverside Walter Reed Hospital (Gloucester)
Riverside also provides patients access to specialty hospitals and other location types including Cancer Care, Urgent Care, and Heart & Vascular.
