WILLIAMSBURG — The Williamsburg Youth Orchestra Summer Chamber Music Camp will hold its concert this Friday at the Williamsburg Presbyterian Church sanctuary.
The Williamsburg Youth Orchestra works with the Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra and was first established in 1996 with the hope that the Youth Orchestra would nurture and develop the talents of youths to their fullest potential with music education programs and performance opportunities.
Seven Chamber groups will perform their music pieces along with three large ensembles showcasing the fruits of their studies. The concert includes strings as well as wind and brass players, and is free and open to the public.
The summer camp performance starts at 3 p.m. Friday Aug. 5 and will conclude around 5 p.m.
