James City County Police Department Investigates Dollar General Robbery

JAMES CITY COUNTY — James City County Police Department (JCCPD) responded to a robbery at the Dollar General located at 7147 Richmond Road at approximately 2 p.m. Friday.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6 feet, 3 inches tall and wearing blue pants, a black hoodie, a black cloth mask, black shoes and black gloves, according to police.

The suspect is said to have displayed a firearm during the robbery and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money, according to police.

The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office K-9 unit assisted JCCPD in searching the area.

There were no injuries.
