WILLIAMSBURG — Cookie Chris, the brainchild of high school student and entrepreneur Chris Knight Jr., will see a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the grand opening of its new brick-and-mortar location Friday, Aug. 5.

Knight started the cookie delivery business out of his mother’s kitchen as a summer job to help make money to pay for his college education once he graduates.

In response to growing demand, he has decided to open up a storefront on Richmond Road. His family has been supportive in his business pursuits, praising him for his efforts and successes.

In addition to running his own business, Knight plays basketball at Warhill High School and is an honor student.

The Ribbon Cutting will begin at 3 p.m. on Aug. 5 at the new store on Richmond Road.
