WILLIAMSBURG — Local author and entrepreneur Dr. Jade L. Ranger will appear at Barnes & Noble Booksellers in the New Town shops signing her book “Mustard Seed Mentality” July 16.
“Mustard Seed Mentality” addresses finding a balance between motherhood and health. Dr. Ranger focuses on helping readers learn coping mechanisms and highlighting her own personal experiences as a mother and woman of color.
Dr. Ranger encourages readers to take a deep dive into important conversations not only with their friends but with themselves, as well.
Dr. Ranger was born and raised in Bowie, Maryland. She graduated from Hampton University School of Pharmacy in May of 2012 with her doctor of pharmacy degree (PharmD).
While in pharmacy school, she met her husband, and post-graduation, the couple worked for big-box chain pharmacies for almost a decade.
In March of 2019, they opened The Prescription Shoppe, a full-service mom-and-pop pharmacy located in Williamsburg. Together they have impacted the Greater Williamsburg area by not only providing patient-centered care for their patients but also engaging with their community.
The signing will be in the Barnes & Noble, July 16, from 1-4 p.m. For more information on Dr. Jade L. Ranger’s book, visit Barnes & Noble’s website.
