New Commanding Officer Named for the Salvation Army of the Virginia Peninsula

HAMPTON — The Salvation Army recently welcomed Lt. Antiono Willis as the new Commanding Officer of the Virginia Peninsula Corps.

The Florida native was ordained as a Salvation Army officer in June 2019, most recently serving his first command as the first African American and single corps officer of The Salvation Army Baltimore Hampden Corps.

Lt. Willis is responsible for overseeing Worship and Service Ministries, Programs for Adults, Emergency Assistance (Food, Utility and Housing), Seasonal Programs (Angel Tree, Thanksgiving Meals, Back to School), Youth Programs, and Disaster Preparedness.
