JAMES CITY COUNTY — The James City County Police Department (JCCPD) is looking for a suspect that may have been involved in multiple incidents of stealing from unlocked vehicles in the Fenwick Hills and Ironbound Square neighborhoods.
According to JCCPD, there were multiple incidents of larcenies from unlocked vehicles in the Fenwick Hills neighborhood during the overnight hours of May 28-29. Multiple items were stolen including cash and credit cards.
On May 29, a suspect was caught on video surveillance footage when he used a credit card stolen from one of the unlocked vehicles during the Fenwick Hills incident.
The ongoing investigation may be linked to another vehicular theft incident that took place a day prior to the Fenwick Hills larceny. On June 14, JCCPD reported multiple incidents of thefts from unlocked vehicles in the Governor’s Land neighborhood during the overnight hours of May 26-27. Multiple items were taken during that incident as well, including cash and credit cards.

Callers to the Crime Line and P3 Tips may remain anonymous, do not have to testify in court, and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 if the information provided leads to an arrest.
JCCPD reminds residents to remove valuables from their vehicles and to always lock their doors.
