WILLIAMSBURG — William & Mary head men’s soccer coach Chris Norris announced the Tribe’s 17-match slate for the 2022 season on Monday. The schedule includes nine home contests, three tilts against Atlantic Coast Conference competition and another three matches against NCAA Tournament teams from last season.
Highlighting the Tribe’s nonconference schedule will be a pair of home matches against ACC foes in Wake Forest (Oct. 11) and North Carolina (Oct. 25). Both teams played in the NCAA Tournament last season. The Demon Deacons will make their first trip to Williamsburg since 2010, while Carolina makes the trek for the first time since 2018.
W&M opens the fall with a pair of exhibition contests against Patriot League leaders Loyola Maryland and American. The Tribe travels to the Greyhounds on Aug. 16, before hosting the Eagles on Aug. 20.
The Tribe opens the regular season on the road at Atlantic 10 foe George Washington on Aug. 25. Last season, the Green and Gold topped the Colonials, 1-0, in Williamsburg.
