JCCPD Investigates Attempted Theft of Merchandise

JAMES CITY COUNTY — The James City County Police Department (JCCPD) is investigating a larceny incident that took place at the Polo Outlet at the Williamsburg Premium Outlets, 5715 Richmond Road, on May 5 at 6:14 p.m.

According to a release from JCCPD, “A male subject entered the Polo Outlet and attempted to steal five bags/purses totaling in value of over $1,000. The suspect was confronted by an employee as he was attempting to leave the store with the merchandise. He subsequently dropped the bags before fleeing the area on foot.”

Those who may be able to help identify the individual can also call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP as well as submit tips online at p3tips.com. Callers to the Crime Line and P3 Tips users may remain anonymous, do not have to testify in court, and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 if the information provided leads to an arrest.
